Besides doing the production and culture of Jayanti Rahu for increasing the in- house yield, Amalgamated Plantations Pvt. Ltd. is now extending its free expertise to the rural BPL farmers for their sustainable economic growth through fish culture.
On 26th September 2014, the Amalgamated Plantations Pvt. Ltd. team comprising Mr. A J Borgohain and Mr. Sankar Baruah attended a Farmers Training programme organized by the “Morigaon Zila Gramya Puthi Bharal Santha” a NGO from Morigaon Dist. It is to mention that the NGO is implementing a NABARD funded project FTTF (Farmers Technology Transfer Fund) under the UPNRM (Umbrella Project for Natural Resource Management) of NABARD at Morigaon district, Assam.
Under the project the NGO is imparting training to the beneficiaries of the project on Composite Fish Culture with particular focus on Jayanti Rahu culture for their sustainable economic development.
The NGO invited the Amalgamated Plantations Pvt. Ltd. team as a resource person to deliver talk to the farmers on Jayanti Rahu culture, its benefit and prospects in particular where around 32 participant including women beneficiaries participated.
