Where we come from
Picture lofty hillocks, gurgling waterfalls, meandering rivers and lush forests. Fancy hazy blue mountains overlooking golden rice paddies patched with palm and bamboos. And amidst this, imagine
seemingly endless gorgeous vistas of green tea gardens. This is a land of exquisite natural beauty swathed in absolute purity. This is the the fertile Brahmaputra valley of Assam and the Dooars region
of West Bengal.
At Amalgamated Plantations, our offerings to our buyers ensure a fast - infusing and strong flavoured CTC tea. Our estates spread across Assam and West Bengal which produce....
Hand plucked with the finest fingers of tea pluckers, we offer orthodox tea which is sure to soothe senses and make tea-drinking a fine experience.
Our green tea is made solely from the leaves of camellia sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing which helps in weight reduction.
The Hathikuli Tea Estate
A sprawling 687 acres of luscious green with an annual turnover of 600 MT worth of organic produce, India's largest integrated organic farm - The Hathikuli Tea Estate thrives on the fringes of the Kaziranga National Park. Our commitment towards creating a sustainable ecosystem has made us venture into organic farming with the result that since 2011, we have been a certified Organic Estate.
The inspiration behind this endeavour was the great visionary Mr. JRDTata who said "No success in material terms is worthwhile unless it serves the needs or interests of the country and its people"
Our pristine bounty
The APPL plantations
Our tea estates don't just produce tea. They yield freshness, cultivate purity, and nurture the true essence of nature. After all, the verdant valley with its undulating rich terrain, fed by the mighty Brahmaputra and its rivulets, all conspire together to deliver a wholesome and divine experience.
APPL as an organisation is committed to conserve, protect and grow biodiversity in its areas of operations – from the smallest organism to the mighty Elephant and natural water bodies, in keeping with the ethos of “Greener Ideas Changing Lives”.
Apart from our certified Organic Hathikuli Tea Estate, producing chemical and pesticide free tea and pepper, natural bio pesticides and fertilizers are being constantly evolved across all plantation units to reduce the chemical load and maintain the frail ecological balance.
Born in the virgin land of verdant greens, nurtured by the sanctity of nature, and raised on the values and principles of unbridled and absolute purity, Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited (APPL) isn't like any other tea plantation company. It is one of India's largest and most revered tea producers. One, with a rich heritage that goes back over a century. And a legacy shared with the house of the Tatas.
